Eric Hulett has litigated and tried a variety of cases in state and federal courts and focuses his practice in the areas of construction law, general litigation, professional liability and insurance coverage.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Jury trial for defense of a subcontractor for a highway project boring/piping failure
  • Jury trial for defense of a property management company regarding repair claims
  • Jury trial for defense in a medical malpractice case
  • Multiple arbitration defenses of builders against construction defect claims
  • Negotiated settlements in multi-million dollar cases involving wrongful death, product defect, professional malpractice, and construction defect claims
  • Drafted and negotiated custom construction agreements for commercial projects, including a shopping center, resort hotel, and professional office building

A focus of Mr. Hulett’s practice involves advising construction industry clients, whether owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, or others. His work includes the following:

Professional Liability Defense
Defense of architects, engineers, physicians, lawyers, and other professionals is a significant aspect of Mr. Hulett’s practice. The insights gained from defending professionals in various fields prove useful in advising clients on solutions in the larger litigation and risk management context.

General Defense Litigation
The defense of individuals and corporations against lawsuits and claims is a major portion of Mr. Hulett’s practice. He has defended numerous civil actions involving the following:
