Jace Goins is the leader of the firm’s Professional Liability Practice Group. His practice is focused primarily on the area of professional liability litigation, and more specifically on the defense of long term care facilities, physicians, and hospitals. He also represents defendants in the areas of toxic and mass torts, product liability, and workplace injury. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in both state and federal court and is admitted to practice in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Jury trial for physician accused of medical malpractice resulting in death of patient
  • Defended county school board in jury trial where school board was accused of negligent supervision of students resulting in fight and injuries to students on school property
  • Represented physician accused of medical malpractice resulting in spinal cord injury to patient
  • Settlements on behalf of various long term care facilities in West Virginia accused of abuse and neglect of elderly residents
