Joanna Tabit focuses her practice in trial and appellate advocacy. She has tried scores of cases in federal and state courts and has argued approximately 60 appeals in state and federal appellate courts.  Ms. Tabit is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Defended international gas nozzle manufacturer from claims of defective product design and use in static electricity cases involving complex issues of fire origin and cause
  • Defended national manufacturers, distributors and retailers of consumer products involved in construction and mining accidents, industrial accidents, structure failures, and residential fires
  • Defended various energy clients in cases involving catastrophic accident investigation and litigation, mine safety and health matters
  • Defended automobile and all terrain vehicle manufacturers, distributors and retailers in a variety of product liability cases
  • Defended public and private employers in complex employment cases involving claims of gender, race, and age discrimination
