Michael Bowling concentrates his practice in the areas of governmental affairs and lobbying, county and municipal law, construction law, environmental law, and products liability. He brings a wealth of experience to clients as a result of his public service. Mr. Bowling has served as chairman of the Blue Ribbon Panel in Support of Public Advocacy of the Kentucky Bar Association; board attorney of the Bell County Board of Education; Middlesboro City Attorney; State Representative, 87th Legislative District; and chairman of the House Judiciary Committee of the Kentucky Legislature.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Assisted in response to request for proposal from state agency regarding license to build a hotel next to state-owned golf course
  • Represented a non-profit corporation representing the horse industry in Kentucky.
  • Advised various state programs, departments, universities and other agencies on how to pass major program legislation
  • Advised hotel developers and helped them acquire license in conjunction with state park attractions
  • Represented subcontract mining corporation against a general contractor resulting in punitive damages
