Monté Williams devotes his practice to defending civil rights, contract, medical malpractice, first and third party bad faith, personal injury, products liability, and premises liability cases. He has tried cases for both corporate and individual clients. Mr. Williams is a former West Virginia State Trooper, and a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee.

Mr. Williams has also given presentations on topics such as drugs in the community, how community organizations can assist state agencies in addressing issues related to drugs and alcohol within the community, and how parents can keep their children off drugs.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Defended the manufacturer of underground coal equipment against allegations of wrongful death resulting from defective design
  • Defended the world’s leading vegetation maintenance company in case involving multiple defendants and personal injuries exceeding $450,000
  • Jury trial for claims of complete destruction of property resulting from fire to commercial property
  • Defended insurers against claims of unfair trade practices and common law bad faith
  • Assisted insurer in defense of $400,000.00 property damage subrogation claim
