Tim McKeen focuses his practice in the areas of energy and mineral law (coal, oil and gas), and real estate transactions. Mr. McKeen regularly assists clients with mineral title examinations and title opinions, coordinating and performing due diligence, and mineral acquisitions throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Performed due diligence, undertook curative work and conducted closings in multi-million dollar energy transactions to assist clients in development efforts
  • Experience managing large abstracting and record room teams in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, including leading team for legal property issues in Ohio associated with billion dollar oil and gas joint venture
  • Experience in energy, oil and gas title examinations in acquiring desired real estate rights in Pennsylvania
  • Undertook coal, oil and gas title examinations to assist clients in acquiring desired real estate rights
  • Negotiated with real estate owners to clear title to resolve title insurance litigation issues
