Valerie Bone began her career with Steptoe & Johnson in 1980 as a legal secretary in the Charleston office.  Subsequently, Ms. Bone took on the bookkeeping functions for the office and was named office manager in 1991. 

Ms. Bone graduated from the West Virginia Institute of Technology (now West Virginia University Institute of Technology) with an associate degree in Legal Office Administration. 

Ms. Bone is an active volunteer with the United Way of Central West Virginia as a campaign cabinet member.  She also serves on the firm’s Wellness Committee.
