About

Thank you for visiting the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation’s website. We're glad that you’re here! The Foundation and its members are passionate about the practice of energy and mineral law and we are committed to the Foundation's mission:

To foster the study of energy, mineral and natural resources law by providing quality, cost-effective and timely education, law student scholarships, and a continuing forum for the intellectually honest examination of the law.

We hope that you find that the content on this site is commensurate with the EMLF's long-standing reputation for the highest scholastic value. We certainly intend for it to be!

Please feel free to look around. If you're a law student at an EMLF member school, we encourage you to apply for one of the EMLF's many scholarships designed to benefit students who have demonstrated an interest in energy or mineral law. Last spring, the EMLF was pleased to award $50,000 in scholarships to students at the following member law schools: Appalachian School of Law, University of Houston Law Center, Louisiana State University Law Center, Ohio State University – Moritz College of Law, Southern Methodist University – Dedman School of Law, University of Oklahoma College of Law, The University of Texas School of Law, Washburn University School of Law, and West Virginia University College of Law.
