The Taste of the Panhandle includes a variety of local restaurants showing off their very best cuisine. This event will take place on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at the Holiday Inn in Martinsburg at 6:00 in the evening. Funds for the event will benefit The Berkeley County Back Pack Program, The Berkeley County Library – Childhood Literacy Programs, Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) and The Andy and Elmer Reading Project and distribution of Dictionaries for local students.
Our event will raise money through a variety of ways, including sponsorships, ticket sales and a combined silent and live auction. We would like to ask that you consider supporting our event with a donation for our auction -- perhaps an item from your business, a gift certificate, service, or cash donation.
“Service Above Self” is the Rotary motto. Our event is named after one of our former members who exemplified that motto in her daily life. Kelley Kisner chaired the first Taste of the Panhandle while battling cancer. In memory of Kelly Kisner, and to continue the legacy that she started, we have raised over $160,000 in the last six years for many local charity organizations.
We look forward to another successful fundraiser and hope you will join us in supporting these worthwhile organizations in the Eastern Panhandle. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of so many in our community.
Please contact us to discuss your donation and we can arrange for pick up of your auction item or give you a drop off location. Thank you for considering our request.
