Firm expands transactional practice
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – James Conlan Lynch has joined the Charleston, W.Va. office of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC. Conlan will practice in the firm’s business department focusing on federal taxation including property transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.
Conlan earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, and his bachelor’s degree from Furman University. Prior to joining Steptoe & Johnson, he gained experience as a summer associate for two South Carolina law firms where he drafted demand letters, FOIA requests, memoranda, and motions for business litigation. He also served as an intern for the City of Greenville City Attorney.
As a law student, Conlan was articles editor for The South Carolina Journal of International Law & Business and was a member of The International Legal Honor Society of Phi Delta Phi.
