Welcome to the first edition of the 2012 Legislative Brief, your one-stop shop for legislative news from a variety of sources throughout West Virginia, and my view of legislative happenings on the horizon.

My View from the Capitol:

1014 bills have been introduced in the West Virginia House of Delegates of which 11 bills have passed the House and await consideration in the State Senate.

429 bills have been introduced in the West Virginia State Senate of which 7 bills have passed the Senate and await consideration in the House of Delegates.

1 bill has passed both Chambers and has been signed into Law by the Governor, that being the Cracker Bill.
