Managing member of the Columbus OH, office brings antitrust
and intellectual property experience

Edward A. Matto has joined the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson as the managing member of the firm’s Columbus office.  His practice will focus on counseling and litigation in antitrust and related competition law areas and in intellectual property and related infringement and misappropriation areas.  

Prior to joining Steptoe & Johnson, Matto was a partner in an Ohio law firm, where he also practiced in the area of intellectual property and antitrust law.  He received his legal education from The Ohio State University College of Law, where he was associate editor of the Ohio State Law Journal and a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity.  Matto also received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University.

Matto is included in the publication, The Best Lawyers in America in the field of antitrust law, and he is recognized as an “Ohio Super Lawyer.”  Matto serves as an adjunct professor of antitrust law at Capital University School of Law and previously at The Ohio State University College of Law.  He has lectured on U.S. business and antitrust laws in Tokyo, Japan and St. Petersburg, Russia, as well as being a frequent speaker at various antitrust and intellectual property conferences.

Matto is the author of A Manager's Guide to the Antitrust Laws (published in the U.S. and Japan) and has written many articles in the antitrust and intellectual property areas.
