Veteran energy attorney to speak on opportunities in energy law
MEADVILLE, Pa. – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC attorney Russell L. Schetroma has accepted an invitation to address law students, energy executives, land professionals, and attorneys from throughout the U.S. at Louisiana State University during its 61st Mineral Law Institute. The Institute will be held on April 3-4, 2014 in Baton Rouge, La. Schetroma will speak about opportunities in energy law.
Schetroma is an energy law veteran with more than 30 years of experience. He is a frequent speaker and author on energy issues, particularly in Pennsylvania. His legal practice focuses in the areas of oil and gas law managing due diligence and title projects for energy clients. Schetroma has experience resolving cases in mediation and arbitration in Pennsylvania state and federal courts. He is also one of the driving forces behind the formation of Steptoe & Johnson’s International Law practice.
The LSU Mineral Law Institute brings together an array of scholars and practitioners to update students and others on the latest developments in energy law. The 2014 Institute will cover topics including joint operating agreements, tax issues, pipeline acquisitions, litigation, real estate and many others.
