Two-day seminar to focus on deal making and regulations
BRIDGEPORT, WV – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC announced today the agenda for its upcoming Acquisition and Disposition of Shale Assets in Appalachia seminar. The two-day event will teach buyers, sellers and financiers of Marcellus and Utica shale reserves how to navigate the Appalachian Basin’s legal landscape. The event will be held January 25 and 26 at the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe in Canonsburg, PA.
Day one covers deal making basics including financing, joint development agreements, pooling and due diligence. The program also includes a panel discussion with energy industry leaders. Day one concludes with a presentation on pooling and a panel discussion focused on title issues in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Day two includes breakout sessions on midstream shale gas development, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency enforcement trends, litigation and employment law in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Plus, legal scholar and special advisor to Steptoe & Johnson, Bruce Kramer will address attendees as keynote speaker.
