Benedict J. Kirchner, an attorney with Steptoe & Johnson PLLC, has been named an American Bar Foundation (ABF) Fellow. The Fellows of the ABF is an honorary organization of lawyers, judges, and scholars who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the legal profession. Membership is limited to less than one-third of one percent of lawyers in each state.
Kirchner practices energy and natural resources law in Steptoe & Johnson’s Meadville, Pa. office. He works closely with clients on transactional matters related to oil, gas, and coal, including acquisition and disposition of assets. He is also an active member of the firm’s international law practice.
Kirchner holds leadership roles with several committees of the American Bar Association including: International Investment and Development, Russia/Eurasia, and International Energy and Natural Resources. He is also a member of the Advisory Board and Young Energy Professionals Committee for the Institute for Energy Law. Kirchner joined Steptoe & Johnson in 2011.
