Charleston, W.Va. – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC attorney John B. McCuskey has been appointed to the Southern States Energy Board (SSEB). McCuskey, a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, will serve as the House Representative for West Virginia on the Board. He joins Governor Earl Ray Tomblin and Senate President William P. Cole as West Virginia Representatives in the SSEB.
The Southern States Energy Board is an interstate compact, comprised of governors and state legislators from sixteen southern states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as a presidential appointee. The Board’s mission is to promote economic development and enhance the quality of life in the South, through innovations in energy and environmental programs, policies, and technologies.

McCuskey represents the 35th House District in the West Virginia Legislature and serves as the Assistant Majority Whip. McCuskey earned his legal degree from the West Virginia University College of Law and his undergraduate degree from The George Washington University.
