Welcome to the 2012 Legislative Brief, your one-stop shop for legislative news from a variety of sources throughout West Virginia, and my view of legislative happenings on the horizon. Today marks the 38th day of the 60-day Legislative session.

Legislative Action by the Numbers:

  • 1264 bills introduced in the House
  • 621 bills introduced in the Senate
  • 7 bills have passed both chambers and have completed Legislative action

My View from the Capitol:

Monday marks the last day for bills to be introduced in both the Senate and House Chambers.  Look for numerous bills to be introduced in both chambers that day.
