The Bridgeport office is proud to be known as the office where Steptoe & Johnson PLLC began. The firm was established locally in 1913 in downtown Clarksburg, West Virginia, where operations remained until the firm built the current office location, which opened in 2010. Dozens of attorneys and administrative staff call the Bridgeport office home.
The Bridgeport office supports many charities in the area, including the United Way Harrison and Doddridge County, the American Cancer Society, and the Salvation Army. The office also provides pro bono services and resources to community organizations including Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), the Mountaineer Area Council for the Boy Scouts of America, the Bi-County Nutrition Program, and the Cultural Foundation of Harrison County, among others.
The firm partners with other businesses in the White Oaks Business Park to pack 500 lunches each quarter for local veterans traveling by bus from the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV to Pittsburgh, PA for medical appointments. The office also provides meals for veterans and other displaced persons sheltered at the Clarksburg Mission. The professional staff also select a local charity each week to benefit from our Friday Jeans Day program, which generously provides thousands of dollars annually to those in need in our area.
