MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC has named Kelsey Swaim Miller the Managing Attorney of its Martinsburg office. Miller will oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the office in addition to maintaining her legal practice.
“Kelsey is a skilled attorney who has shown promising leadership in her time with the firm,” said Steptoe & Johnson CEO Christopher L. Slaughter. “We have confidence that she will serve the position well and build on the outstanding leadership of Martinsburg’s previous Office Managing Member, Kenneth Barton.”
Miller joined Steptoe & Johnson in 2014. Her broad transactional practice focuses on commercial lending and commercial real estate, including the protection of creditors’ rights through foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections. She serves on the Board of Directors for both the Boys and Girls Club of the Easter Panhandle, Inc. and the Eastern Panhandle Bar Charitable Foundation, Inc. She also provides law school mentoring through the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
