Biography
Brooke Kamicker is a respected attorney with over a decade of experience in the energy industry, particularly within the Marcellus and Utica shale plays. Known for her conscientious approach and genuine demeanor, Brooke is deeply committed to helping clients achieve their goals of delivering clean, reliable, and affordable energy to consumers. Her ability to listen attentively and interpret complex legal and operational challenges allows her to develop tailored strategies that prioritize client success.
In her current role, Brooke leads teams of attorneys and abstractors on title and due diligence projects of significant scale and complexity. Her leadership ensures the delivery of accurate, high-quality work that enables clients to lease, drill, and execute transactions efficiently and confidently. She is recognized for her dedication to excellence, timeliness, and budget-conscious project management.
Brooke serves as the Office Managing Member of the Morgantown office and plays an active role in firm leadership. She co-chairs the Recruiting Committee, overseeing the summer associate program in Morgantown, and contributes to the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Additionally, she is involved in several subcommittees of the firm’s Strategic Planning Committee, helping to shape the future direction of the organization.
Representative Experience
- Managed large attorney and abstracting teams in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio to assist major energy clients in meeting an extensive drilling plan in the Appalachian Basin
- Managed operations and provided legal analysis related to oil and gas title and property holdings in West Virginia and Pennsylvania for the land resources department of a Fortune 500 energy company
- Assisted with due diligence review in connection with domestic exploration and production company’s acquisition of 43,000 net acres in Appalachian Basin totaling $379MM
- Coordinated and assisted with due diligence review in connection with domestic exploration and production company’s acquisition of oil and gas assets in the Appalachian Basin totaling over $5 billion
- Performed due diligence for several multi-million dollar transactions of mineral assets, including oil and gas, involving title review, litigation, regulatory risk assessment, and title defect curative work
- Captured data from over 650 title opinions and delivered work product which integrated seamlessly into client’s database to assist client in turning-in-line oil and gas wells
