Biography
As a member of a public finance team, Jaclyn Schiffour enjoys helping clients access and utilize the tools to grow their population, secure project funding, and make their communities more vibrant and sustainable. Jaclyn has a background in public service, having served as Chief Counsel for the Committee on Government Organization of the West Virginia House of Delegates, in which role she worked directly with Legislators to research and draft legislation, presented before Committees of the House and negotiated compromise legislation.
In addition to her public finance work, Jaclyn represents both national and local businesses in a variety of areas, including economic development incentive and assisting in helping financial institutions remain compliant with a variety of state and federal regulations.
Jaclyn has a motto that she wants to leave things better than she found them, and she brings that attitude to her work with clients.
Representative Experience
- Assisted international manufacturing company with bond financing for expansion into West Virginia
- Represented local government broadband utilities in governance, operational and financing issues
- Served as bond counsel and issuers counsel for a $5 Billion incentive package for an international manufacturing company
- Advised on RESPA regulations as they relate to pay-per-click advertising
