Bill Wilmoth to Be Inducted into West Virginia University’s Order of Vandalia

WHEELING, W.Va. – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is proud to share that Bill Wilmoth will be inducted into West Virginia University’s Order of Vandalia in recognition of his loyalty and service to the University.

The Order of Vandalia, established in 1960, is one of WVU’s highest honors and recognizes the University’s most loyal servants. Wilmoth is among four honorees selected for 2026. The inductees will be recognized during a ceremony later this year.

Wilmoth has been with the firm for more than 25 years and previously served as the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia. He is a WVU College of Law alumnus, served 10 years on the WVU Board of Governors, including two years as chair, and was also part of the search committee that hired President Michael T. Benson.
