In Memoriam

Our beloved partner, friend, mentor, and leader, Kristian White, practiced law at Steptoe & Johnson for over 25 years. He started his career as an associate in our Clarksburg office in 1999 and then spent time in our Wheeling office for more than a decade. In 2010, Kristian was integral in leading efforts to open our Southpointe office, where he served as its Office Managing Member, overseeing the office’s growth, for 14 years.

Kristian’s diverse practice included work in energy transactions, banking, real estate, commercial transactions, and business organization. As an attorney and Certified Public Accountant, he enjoyed working hand-in-hand with clients to develop business and legal solutions that helped them achieve their goals.

Beyond the practice of law, Kristian was active in his community. Over the years, he served on the Board of Trustees of the Oglebay Foundation, the Board of Directors of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of Pike Cubs Baseball, the Board of Directors of Elmhurst House of Friendship, the Board of Directors of the Southpointe CEO Association, the Board of Directors of the Kiwanis Club of Wheeling, the Board of Directors of the Wheeling Symphony Society, the Board of Directors of The Children’s Museum of the Ohio Valley, and as the Past-President of the School Board of St. John Parish School.

Kristian will be greatly missed. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends at this difficult time.
