Dallas – Lori Oliphant has joined the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC as a Member. She joins the firm’s Labor and Employment Department, where her practice will focus on employee benefits and compensation matters.

Oliphant’s clients include Fortune 500 companies, governmental entities, tax-exempt entities, private investment funds, real estate funds, and investment managers. She is well versed in advising clients on investments in qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and accounts, Title I issues in the context of corporate transactions, and fiduciary responsibility rules and guidelines to maintain regulatory compliance. She has also represented clients before various governmental agencies in complex ERISA matters.
Oliphant is a member of the American Bar Association’s Joint Council on Employee Benefits. She earned her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, her Master of Laws from the University of Houston Law Center, and her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.
