Philip P. Keating Joins Steptoe & Johnson PLLC

CANONSBURG, Pa. – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is pleased to announce that Philip P. Keating has joined the firm’s products liability team, focusing his practice in the area of toxic torts. He will practice in the firm’s Southpointe office, located near Pittsburgh, Pa.

“Philip will have an immediate impact on our litigation department thanks to his representation of a diverse array of clients,” said Steptoe & Johnson CEO Susan S. Brewer.  “His experience in toxic tort cases, specifically asbestos, will further broaden our practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia where we currently defend numerous clients in state and federal court toxic tort actions.”

Before entering private practice, Keating served for six years as an assistant state attorney with the Office of the State Attorney in Broward County, Florida prosecuting a wide variety of criminal cases. He was lead counsel in more than 80 jury trials.

Keating earned his law degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center and his bachelor’s degree from New York University.
