Steptoe & Johnson’s Pittsburgh Office Continues Strategic Growth with Addition of Anthony Giresi

PITTSBURGH — Anthony J. Giresi has joined the Pittsburgh office of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC as Of Counsel. He joins the mineral title and property practice group in the firm’s Energy and Natural Resources Department, as well as the commercial & wealth practice group in the firm’s Business Department.

“I am excited to bring my practice to Steptoe & Johnson,” said Giresi. “I look forward to contributing to the firm’s energy team and estates and trusts team and to utilizing my experience in both fields to further strengthen the firm’s presence in western Pennsylvania.”

Giresi’s practice includes assisting clients with transactional oil and gas matters in the Appalachian Basin. His prior legal experience, along with his experience as a landman, makes him adept at drafting certified drilling title opinions for oil and gas exploration and production companies, performing title abstracts, and overseeing oil and gas leases. Beyond his work in the energy sector, Giresi also assists clients with their estate planning and administration matters.  He prepares comprehensive estate plans for clients and advises personal representatives throughout the estate administration process, including the preparation of estate tax returns.

Giresi earned his law degree from Notre Dame Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Villanova University.

Giresi’s arrival marks the eighth new attorney to join Steptoe & Johnson’s Pittsburgh office since the beginning of 2024. The office recently relocated to One PPG Place to accommodate current and future growth and strengthen its presence in the market.
