Stephen Perdue has joined the firm's Government Affairs Team and will work closely with clients and legislators to help shape West Virginia energy policy.  Before joining Steptoe & Johnson, Perdue spent many years with EQT Corporation as Government Relations Manager and Regional Land Director.  He also held prior positions in land management with other energy companies in the region.  Perdue has more than two decades experience acquiring rights-of-way, securing permits and land purchase agreements and preparing locations for drilling.  Perdue is a Certified Professional Landman and was appointed by West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin to serve on the state's Marcellus Development Task Force.  He previously served as Interim Director of the West Virginia Oil & Natural Gas Association (WVONGA).
