    Biography

    Tony Faini focuses his practice in the area of economic development—specifically in the sectors of public finance and municipal bonds.  Before becoming an attorney, Tony spent more than five years working as landman where he assisted energy companies to develop land and minerals throughout West Virginia. Building on his experience with property and contracts, Tony brings a valuable skill set to counties and political subdivisions to develop local projects. Whether he is working with large investment banks or small county commissions, clients appreciate Tony’s real-world experience dealing with people from all over the state, his approachable nature, and his passion to support West Virginia’s much-needed economic growth.

    Key Experience

    Assisted in serving as underwriter’s counsel for an investment bank for the issuance and refinancing of public school refunding bonds to finance the construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance of multiple West Virginia public schools
    Drafted title opinions and other transactional documents, performed due diligence, and negotiated contract terms with mineral owners for a wide variety of energy clients in multi-million dollar transactions to acquire desired property rights
