Steptoe & Johnson Welcomes Energy Attorney Devan Flahive to Growing Columbus Office

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is pleased to welcome Devan Flahive to the Columbus office as Of Counsel in the firm’s Energy and Natural Resources department. Flahive brings significant experience representing clients in the development and operation of energy infrastructure and provides advice to clients regarding regulatory rules and requirements, contested proceedings, siting approvals, and interconnection issues. She also represents applicants seeking certificates from the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) and other special permits.

Flahive represents oil and gas, renewable power generation, battery energy storage systems, forestry, and agricultural companies before state and federal courts, local zoning boards, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO). She has jury trial experience and has represented clients in complex antitrust litigation involving allegations of predatory pricing, conspiracy, and other anticompetitive conduct.

Flahive earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her law degree from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson Law. She is licensed to practice in West Virginia and Ohio.
