About our Office

The Wheeling office opened in 1994 as part of the firm’s first geographic expansion into northern West Virginia. In 2023, the office moved into its current location in the historic Fort Henry Building. The building was originally designed and built in the 1850s as a Federal Style mansion. In 1890, it was incorporated as the Fort Henry Club, an exclusive social club that boasted many famous guests, including Charles Lindberg, President Herbert Hoover, and Babe Ruth, among others. After the club’s closure in 2010, the Fort Henry Building was purchased, renovated, and repurposed as office space that was carefully designed to preserve the building’s historic nature.

Over time, the Wheeling office has developed a strong litigation and health care practice, as well as a robust team of energy attorneys. The office is ideally located in the heart of the Marcellus and Utica shale developments, which allows the Wheeling attorneys to efficiently serve clients in West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

The Wheeling office supports many charitable organizations in the area, such as participating in events and fundraisers for the Rotary Club of Wheeling, United Way, Pride in Wheeling, the Children’s Home of Wheeling, and the Marshall County Family Resource Network. The office also supports the community by providing pro bono services to organizations such as the Seeing Hand Association, the Upper Ohio Valley Sexual Assault Help Center, Royal Family Kids Camp – Ohio Valley Chapter, and many other charitable organizations.
