Biography

Matthew focuses his practice on energy transactions, contracts, and title matters. He regularly assists clients with acquisitions and divestitures, due diligence, contract negotiation and compliance, and mineral title issues. He is the former Senior Attorney, Corporate & Securities at EQT Corporation, where he facilitated securities filings in compliance with U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) regulations, assisted with subsidiary management, and helped develop and execute domestic and international know your counterparty (KYC) processes.

Representative Experience

Negotiated mineral leases, with focus on royalties, signing bonuses, and deductions, for publicly traded oil and gas operator
Represented oil and gas operator for conveyance of mineral rights in estate
Handled pre-trial discovery on matters involving mineral rights and royalty disputes
Litigated trademark infringement for retail entity
