Biography

Kaitlyn brings a fresh perspective when solving legal matters for clients. She has experience in drafting motions and various client correspondences and uses her attention to detail to ensure she delivers high-quality results for clients.

As a former Steptoe & Johnson Summer Associate, Kaitlyn assisted with corporate governance and transactional matters including entity formation, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, debt financing, and general business transactions. She also gained experience in drafting motions for and estate planning documents including wills, deeds, and power of attorney documents, while researching case law and preparing memoranda for real estate purchases and sales agreements.

Representative Experience

Assisted with real estate tax exemption narratives and applications for numerous nonprofit clients on over 20 properties
Spearheaded bringing 180 entities into compliance with the Corporate Transparency Act for the firm’s single most affected client
Served as bond counsel on a $230 million transaction and supported lead bond counsel in municipal bond transactions for governmental, higher education, and nonprofit clients in Pennsylvania
Assisted with the merger of two nonprofit organizations, including preparing transaction materials and supporting closing logistics
Prepared documents and provided closing services on behalf of a national bank for a revolving line of credit secured by operating assets
Assisted a regional dental practice with the acquisition of a competing dental practice, including advising on a consulting agreement
