2025 Charley West BBQ Fest

Steptoe and Johnson is sponsoring the 2025 Charley West BBQ Fest on May 17, 2025 in Charleston, WV. The event benefits the Bob Burdette Center after school program. The Bob Burdette Center (BBC) is an out-of-school time academic enrichment center offering free after school and summer programming to West Side and North Charleston families grades K-5. The BBC’s after school enrichment leaders guide daily programming covering STEM, reading and the arts, college and career readiness, social emotional learning and life skills, and physical recreation.

Competition and Backyard BBQ entrants will compete in 4 categories that include best pulled pork BBQ, best ribs, best sauce, and wild card – anything you want to BBQ. Live entertainment features local musicians performing throughout the day on the main stage.
