Colton Parsons is a litigator whose practice focuses on real estate litigation, construction litigation, premises liability defense, catastrophic injury claims, commercial disputes, creditors’ rights, and arbitration. He represents businesses, property owners, landlords, retailers, lenders, and energy companies in complex civil litigation throughout West Virginia.
For nearly a decade, Colton has managed litigation throughout West Virginia for a national retailer, handling matters involving premises liability, construction-related disputes, catastrophic injury claims, and commercial litigation. He regularly represents landlords, property owners, and businesses in litigation involving lease disputes, evictions, fires, property damage claims, collections matters, creditor disputes, and serious personal injury matters arising from residential and commercial properties.
Colton also represents manufactured housing companies, lenders, coal operators, and other business clients in complex litigation, arbitration proceedings, and high-exposure claims throughout the region. In addition, he previously served in-house for an energy company, giving him firsthand insight into the legal, operational, and business considerations facing corporate clients.
He has handled jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, bankruptcy-related litigation, and appeals in both state and federal courts, including matters before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, and the West Virginia Intermediate Court of Appeals.
Colton recently completed the American Arbitration Association’s Arbitration Advocacy Program and is an AAA Certified Arbitration Advocate. He is also the author of Chasin’ Cash Flow: How Ordinary People Build Wealth Through Real Estate.
