Biography

Gabriel focuses his practice on energy contracts and oil and gas title examination. He conducts due diligence and drafts contracts, mineral leases, joint operating agreements, drill-site and division order title opinions, farm-out agreements, and other transactional documents for clients. Additionally, Gabriel researches and analyzes mineral law issues and drafts letters and memoranda for clients discussing his findings and conclusions. Previously, he assisted clients with oil and gas defense litigation including legacy civil suit defense, environmental civil suit defense, and contract disputes.

  • Represented oil and gas exploration companies in multi-million dollar acquisitions and well spudding projects
  • Performed comprehensive due diligence and assisted in negotiating and closing transactions in Texas and Louisiana
  • Assisted oil and gas exploration companies with multi-million dollar due diligence projects involving leasehold interests and related assets in Texas and Louisiana, including review of title, curative matters, and transactional documentation
  • Rendered large, multi-unit division order title opinions for oil and gas exploration companies in connection with development projects and asset acquisitions
  • Represented oil and gas exploration companies in the negotiation and closing of multi-million dollar transactions, performing due diligence and tendering title opinions in support of the acquisitions and related financing arrangements
