Kara D. Taylor Curran

Biography

Kara focuses her practice on litigation across a broad range of industries and issues. She collaborates on mediations, depositions, and will completion, and prepares critical case documents throughout all phases of pretrial litigation. She previously served as a Summer Associate at Steptoe & Johnson, where she contributed to civil litigation matters including will contests, breach of contract, and premise liability. Her work included drafting memoranda and motions to support litigation strategy and case development.

Kara also completed a year-long internship with the Texas Business Court, where she assisted in legal research and the drafting of judicial opinions in complex commercial cases involving trade secret misappropriation, breach of fiduciary duty, real estate and construction disputes, and breach of contract. She participated in numerous hearings, including temporary restraining orders, temporary injunctions, motions for summary judgement, and other pretrial proceedings, gaining valuable experience in high-stakes business litigation.
