Ryan G. Stevens

Biography

Ryan draws on his extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts to effectively represent healthcare providers and medical institutions in a wide range of professional liability matters, including claims involving negligence, malpractice, and breach of fiduciary duty. He brings a strategic and results-oriented approach to defending medical professionals and organizations facing complex litigation.

Ryan also has significant experience in labor and employment matters. He has handled administrative proceedings involving charges of discrimination, unfair labor practices, and OSHA enforcement, along with experience in employment-related claims and employer-employee relationships. He regularly counsels employers on personnel policies, employee handbooks, and non-compete agreements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce legal risk.

In addition, Ryan advises institutions of higher education on a range of legal and regulatory matters. His experience includes handling Title VII litigation, drafting institutional policies and handbooks, and providing guidance on maintaining compliance in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a private university in a pregnancy discrimination lawsuit, securing summary judgment and dismissal of all claims prior to trial
  • Defended a construction company in a workers’ compensation retaliation case, obtaining summary judgment and full dismissal of claims
  • Served as outside employment counsel to a national employer, providing day-to-day advice on handbook compliance, workplace investigations, and successfully resolving multiple EEOC charges without adverse findings
