Biography
Diana Prulhiere gets brought to the table when an oil and gas company is considering a transaction or wants to verify their title. At the center of a multi-specialty and geographically diverse team of lawyers, Diana cut her teeth in the Marcellus Shale energy boom, beginning her career by learning the industry at the foundational level of abstracting and drafting title opinions. Getting her hands dirty in the record rooms of Appalachian courthouses, Diana appreciates the puzzle pieces that must fit together in order to confirm ownership of mineral and leasehold assets. Diana understands that, within the framework of multi-million dollar transactions, incorrect and inaccurate title means real money and can lead to future litigation.
Hands on knowledge and familiarity with title enable Diana to advise clients on the value of assets prior to closing a transaction. Clients appreciate this expertise and often use it as a tool in their negotiations. In addition to performing due diligence and preparing division order title opinions, clients trust Diana to draft documents and review contracts that are needed during transactions and the everyday course of business.
Diana has been key to the firm’s expansion and success in the mid-continent by transitioning to the Denver office in the spring of 2014. Diana is licensed in Colorado, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia and regularly assists clients in all forms of energy transactional, due diligence and title work throughout the Rockies and Appalachian Basin.
Diana’s approach to clients is to help them achieve their business and legal goals in a way that makes the overall experience enjoyable. Known by her clients and colleagues as a hard worker and effective communicator, Diana is often sought out to manage projects and maintain communication with clients. Diana is the perfect combination detailed, meticulous, and personable.
Outside of her office, Diana enjoys being involved in her community. Diana is active in a multitude of energy organizations and has an affinity for groups that promote growth of young professionals, including the Young Energy Professionals Committee of the Institute for Energy Law, which she chairs for 2019.
