Those who work in the land profession typically belong to one of three professional organizations: the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), the National Association of Division Order Analysts (NADOA), and the National Association of Lease and Title Analysts (NALTA). As part of membership, each of these organizations requires its members to abide by a code of ethics, which governs members conduct with clients and employers, others in the industry, and the public at large.
