DALLAS – Steptoe & Johnson is pleased to welcome Megan R. Knell to the Dallas office as a Member of the firm’s Energy and Natural Resources Department. Knell brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the energy sector and helps clients facilitate transactions and capitalize on opportunities within the oil and gas industry.

Knell represents exploration and production companies and midstream companies in negotiating various transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures of upstream and midstream assets, participation agreements, farmout agreements, and other energy-related contracts. She also has experience preparing drilling, acquisition, and division order title opinions and leading teams in conducting diligence in connection with acquisition of upstream assets.
Knell earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and her law degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Texas.
