As leading securities and transactional attorneys based in Oklahoma City, Timmons and Steinhorn’s arrival to Steptoe & Johnson will enhance the firm’s national securities practice.

Timmons brings a comprehensive approach to corporate and securities law, having worked with an array of public and private entities on everything from private placements to initial public offerings. Her practice focuses on representing companies, both public and private, in capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities regulation, and SEC compliance. In her practice, Timmons has provided corporate and securities counsel for public companies in various sectors, including energy, environmental and remediation services, and banking. Her practice also includes bank regulatory law and securities compliance for broker-dealers and investment advisors. Jeanette has served as corporate secretary of two public companies. She received her law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Steinhorn has decades of experience assisting clients with corporate compliance, corporate governance and ethics, mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation and compliance, capital market transactions, securities offerings, shareholder activism, and environmental law. His engagements have included international transactions in the former Soviet Union, Romania, Yugoslavia, Italy, Israel, Egypt, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Japan, Indonesia, and Australia. Steinhorn previously served as Vice President and General Counsel for two NYSE-listed companies; he has also served as an adjunct professor of law for nearly 30 years at Oklahoma City University School of Law. Steinhorn received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Texas at Austin Law School, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
