DALLAS – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is pleased to announce the arrival of Heather R. Bell and Hisamitsu (Sam) Shinoda. Bell joins the firm’s Dallas office and Shinoda joins The Woodlands office, and both are Associates in the Business Department.
Bell’s practice focuses on probate, guardianship, trust litigation, and estate planning. She works to guide clients through highly emotional family disputes and uses her litigation experience to protect clients’ assets. Bell is highly active in the legal community and serves on the council of the Dallas Bar Association’s Probate, Trusts & States section and serves as a co-chair of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers’ Elder Law Committee. She earned her law degree from Baylor University Law School and her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Dallas.
Shinoda represents single-family residential, condominium, mixed-use, and commercial property associations in corporate matters including drafting and amending governing documents and assisting in assessment collections. He leverages his personal background to develop connections and brings a unique approach to meeting clients’ legal needs. Shinoda earned his law degree from the South Texas College of Law Houston and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
