Steptoe & Johnson PLLC Inducted into the NAPE Hall of Fame

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is pleased to announce that the firm was inducted into the NAPE Hall of Fame during the Energy Business Conference Luncheon and Hall of Fame Awards at the NAPE Summit in Houston, TX on February 18. The firm was recognized for its consistent support and sponsorship of NAPE Summit over the last two decades.

Christopher L. Slaughter, CEO of Steptoe & Johnson, along with Energy & Natural Resources Department Chair Sharon O. Flanery accepted the award on behalf of the firm. Steptoe & Johnson’s history with NAPE began in 2006 when several of the firm’s attorneys, including Flanery, attended their first NAPE Summit. Flanery and other firm representatives were drawn in by the energy and excitement of the event and the opportunity to connect with energy professionals and leaders.

Steptoe & Johnson has exhibited at the event for 16 consecutive years. The firm was recently featured in the Winter 2026 edition of NAPE Magazine in their NAPE Hall of Fame article which can be read here.

NAPE Summit is an annual expo that serves the energy industry by hosting the world’s largest, most successful marketplace connecting decision makers and investors. This year’s expo is being held February 18-20 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX.
