Steptoe & Johnson’s Wheeling Office Moves to Historic Fort Henry Building

Wheeling, WV – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is pleased to announce that on December 19^th the firm moved into the historic Fort Henry Building in downtown Wheeling. The new office space reflects the firm’s continued commitment to the city of Wheeling, where it has maintained an office since the firm expanded its footprint to the area in July 1994.

The Fort Henry Building was built in 1850 as a luxury residence, and forty years later it was incorporated as the Fort Henry Club, an exclusive social club. After the Club’s closure in 2010, the building was purchased, and discussions of preservation efforts, renovations, and repurposing the building for office space began due to its attractive location.

“We are thrilled to be part of the revitalization of downtown Wheeling. We look forward to welcoming clients, friends, and neighbors into our office in the newly restored Fort Henry Building. Our move into this historic building shows our dedication to this city and our respect for preserving the history of downtown Wheeling,” said Ben McFarland, Office Managing Member of the Wheeling office. “We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to David H.
