The Wheeling office opened in 1994 as part of the firm’s first geographic expansion into northern West Virginia. In 2023, the office moved into its current location in the historic Fort Henry Building. The building was originally designed and built in the 1850s as a Federal Style mansion. In 1890, it was incorporated as the Fort Henry Club, an exclusive social club that boasted many famous guests, including Charles Lindberg, President Herbert Hoover, and Babe Ruth, among others. After the Club’s closure in 2010, the Fort Henry Building was purchased, renovated, and repurposed as office space that was carefully designed to preserve the building’s historic nature.
Over the years, the Wheeling office has established itself as a regional leader in energy law, with a highly skilled team serving clients involved in the Marcellus and Utica shale developments. The office also maintains strong practices in litigation and health care.
