Christopher Passodelis Jr., James M. Sander, Brandon T. Uram, and Megan L. Tymoczko-Korch Join Firm
CANONSBURG, Pa. – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is pleased to announce that Christopher Passodelis Jr., James M. Sander, Brandon T. Uram, and Megan L. Tymoczko-Korch have joined the firm working remotely and associated with its Southpointe office (located in Canonsburg). They will move to downtown Pittsburgh this fall. Passodelis, Sander, and Tymoczko-Korch all practice in the firm’s Business Department, focusing on business transactions and corporate services and tax, respectively. Uram’s practice focuses on business litigation and transactions.

Brandon is a creative and fierce advocate for clients who are faced with litigation,” said CEO Susan S. Passodelis partners with clients of all sizes from small businesses to multinational corporations. An entrepreneur at heart, he works hand-in-hand with his clients throughout the life cycle of their business, from the early stages of business formation and funding to next steps involving growth and operational matters, and finally to those later stages where transition sometimes leads to a sale, merger, or acquisition. His clients include companies in the energy, technology, dietary supplement, construction, development, and manufacturing industries. He also represents clients involved in commercial litigation before state and federal courts.
He earned his law degree from Duquesne University and his bachelor’s degree from Wabash College.
Sander has many years of experience as an attorney and business executive. He has served as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary for publicly held companies including GNC Holdings, Inc., Sharper Image Corporation, and Vitamin Shoppe, Inc. His legal practice encompasses a wide range of transactions for domestic and international corporations including acquisitions, divestitures, financings, joint ventures, and real estate. He also represents clients in federal and state regulatory compliance matters and regulatory affairs. Sander works closely with clients to navigate industry regulatory requirements, corporate governance, streamline commercial transactions, examine litigation strategies, and reduce their exposure to costly litigation.
He earned his law degree from Duquesne University and his bachelor’s degree from Grove City College.
Uram, who has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Pennsylvania Rising Star, focuses on litigation and appeals and has substantial experience handling complex business disputes and construction and energy matters. He is also an experienced dealmaker, counseling businesses on contracts, corporate governance, risk avoidance, and many other issues. His business and litigation know-how combine to give clients practical, efficient, and effective guidance throughout the entire business lifecycle.
Uram earned his law degree from Duquesne University, cum laude, where he was an editor for the Duquesne Business Law Journal and a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board. He earned dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, magna cum laude, in economics and political science.
Tymoczko-Korch’s practice includes a wide range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, entity formations, and business reorganizations. She has represented foreign and domestic private and publicly-held companies in an array of matters including acquisitions, intellectual property matters, financing, and supply agreements. Tymoczko-Korch earned her law degree and master’s degree from Duquesne University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
