Biography
Elizabeth Cromwell has been in and around the energy industry her entire life. Growing up in Oklahoma City with a family in the oil & gas business, Liz was destined for a career in energy. Early in her career, Liz focused on the mineral title aspects of the energy industry, and that foundational knowledge is an asset to deal teams and the clients she represents.
Today, Liz thrives while working on complex, high-stakes transactions, and across her career has been a part of more than $1 Billion in deals for exploration & production, midstream, and oilfield service companies. Liz represents a variety of energy clients, including privately owned, publicly traded, and private equity-backed companies, in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Liz is known by her clients as someone who can quickly and efficiently help them analyze and mitigate risk, navigate complex negotiations, and ultimately get the deal closed. Liz is that rare lawyer able to manage the minute details of a complex transaction without losing sight of the big picture.
Drawing from her own family experience, Liz enjoys working on transactions for clients who have an entrepreneurial spirit, and she respects that a transaction is often the most monumental event in a client’s life. In those situations, Liz smiles as she guides them through the purchase or sale process, helps them understand the implications and risks of the transaction, and after closing often helps them begin their next business venture and guides them to another successful exit event.
