Representative Experience
  • Defended physicians, chiropractors, midwives, and nurses at trial, appeal, and pre-trial involving allegations of medical malpractice in the following medical specialties: midwifery, OB-GYN, family practice, oncology, anesthesia, orthopedic surgery, neonatal care, negligent credentialing, pediatrics, cardiothoracic surgery, emergency room, general hospital care, and correctional institution care
  • Represented pharmacist in medical negligence and liability lawsuit alleging improper dispensing of prescription medication
  • Successfully defended hospitals in patient care disputes through all aspects of litigation, including trial
  • Advised a wide variety of hospitals and clinical practices on day-to-day risk management, loss prevention, insurance, and regulatory and operational matters
  • Successfully defended skilled nursing facilities at trial, in arbitration, and in all facets of litigation in all types of resident care matters
  • Represented a real estate broker in a suit for alleged failure to disclose conditions and defects in a residential property
  • Defended a CPA’s service as trustee for an “operating” trust with more than $13M of businesses and assets in the timber, logging, and lumber industries
  • Successfully obtained summary judgment for attorneys in legal malpractice
  • Team members strategically located throughout the U.S. to assist national clients
  • In-house nurse paralegals, accountants, and engineers to assist attorneys in crafting a defense for professionals
  • More than 40 areas of practice provide cross-team collaboration
  • The Professional Liability Group works closely with the firm's Health Care Group and Long-Term Care Team in order to stay abreast of current trends and concerns
